Leo XIV, your name now shines bright,
A beacon of peace, of truth and of light.
You greeted the world with Christ’s gentle release,
A call to the nations: be harbingers of peace.

You spoke of a Church with arms open wide,
A haven where mercy and love shall abide.
No fortress of fear, but a bridge to the lost,
A home for all souls, whatever the cost.

You reminded us all we’re in God’s embrace,
Each journey unfolding in infinite grace.
With hearts set on mission, we rise and we go,
To heal, to console, and Christ’s kindness to show.

From Chicago you’ve come, through cheers and tears,
Suffering with the Cubs, the White Sox and the Bears.
That steadfast resolve you bring to your new role,
A Pope with deep passion and an unwavering soul.

We pray for you daily, dear Leo, our guide,
May Christ walk before you, His peace at your side.
With courage and joy, go and bless every shore—
The world needs your witness now more than before.
