On some of the Christmas cards I received this year some people expressed their feelings about how glad they were that 2025 was coming to an end. They said they were looking forward to a better year in 2026.

                  Just as in 2025, I have no control over the ravages of the weather or the cost of food or gas. There is little I can do with what the politicians are up to in Washington, DC other than to be sure to vote in November.

                  But in 2026 there IS something I CAN control. In 2026 I know that I have to keep telling myself over and over and over again every day that — I AM A CHILD OF GOD. And as a CHILD OF GOD, I know that…..

I AM MORE

I am more than happy, I am JOYFUL.
I am more than healthy, I am WHOLE.
I am more than alive, I am RADIANT.
I am more than successful, I am FREE.
I am more than caring, I am LOVING.
I am more than tranquil, I am PEACEFUL.
I am more than interested, I am INVOLVED.
I am more than adequate, I am TRIUMPHANT.
I am more than fortunate, I am PROSPEROUS.
I am more than human, I am  A CHILD OF GOD.

What a difference it makes in our perspective when we really believe that we are A CHILD OF GOD, wholly unique and precious and blessed with an inheritance that we can never lose.

If YOU went into 2026 really believing that YOU are a beloved CHILD OF GOD, how would it change YOUR life? How would it change YOUR attitudes? How would it change YOUR words? How would it change YOUR actions toward YOURSELF and toward others in 2026?

YOU are a beloved CHILD OF GOD! Walk tall, be proud, rise above the ordinary and never, never be satisfied with less than the best that is in YOU in 2026.

JESUS WAS BORN IN POVERTY SO THAT NO ONE WOULD EVER BELIEVE THEY WERE TOO POOR TO BE LOVED BY GOD!
