TO HAVE A GREAT DAY…..DO THE FOLLOWING…..

In moments of stress and anxiety I will remain calm and peaceful.

I will not react to what is being said or happening.

I am in strict control of my emotions.

I will not respond when I am angry. I will choose my words carefully and speak with kindness.

I will not allow myself  to be controlled by feelings of fear, self-doubt, or anxiety about the future.

I will remember that I have no control over anyone else’s actions, behaviors, or words.

BEING HAPPY DOESN’T MEAN EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. IT MEANS YOU’VE MADE A DECISION TO LOOK BEYOND THE IMPERFECTIONS.

My Commentary:

This reflection is not really about having a “great day.” It is about choosing a great way to live.

It reminds us that peace is not something we wait for — it is something we practice. Life will always bring stress, misunderstanding, and moments that stir our emotions. We cannot control those moments. But we can control how we meet them.

To remain calm in anxiety is an act of strength.
To pause before reacting is an act of wisdom.
To speak kindly when we could speak harshly is an act of grace.

The discipline described here is not easy. It asks us to step back from our immediate feelings and choose something higher. Not to deny emotions, but to guide them. Not to be ruled by fear or anger, but to respond with intention.

There is also a quiet humility in this mindset. We are reminded that we do not control others — their words, their behavior, their choices. Much of our frustration in life comes from trying to manage what is not ours to manage. Letting go of that illusion is not weakness; it is freedom.

And then comes the final truth: happiness is not the absence of problems. It is the decision to see beyond them. It is a way of looking at life that refuses to be defined by imperfection.

From a spiritual perspective, this is the work of the heart. It is the daily choice to live with patience, self-control, and trust. It is, in many ways, a quiet form of holiness — lived not in grand gestures, but in ordinary moments.

A great day, then, is not one where everything goes right.

It is one where we choose to be right in how we live through it.

Do YOU always react to what is being said or is happening? How does this make you feel when you do?

WHEN YOU’RE TEMPTED TO LOSE PATIENCE WITH SOMEONE, THINK ABOUT HOW PATIENT GOD IS WITH YOU ALL THE TIME!
