Stand on the rim of the Grand Canyon or fly over the Pacific Ocean. Gaze on the pyramids at Giza that were already more than a thousand years old at the time of Moses and the Exodus or hold in your palm a piece of pottery shaped by another hand when Jesus was a boy.
Suddenly you see your life for the fragile and brief breath it is. Suddenly you realize the magnitude of this eternal mystery we call “God.” You catch your breath.
You feel in the pit of your stomach what the psalmist felt when he looked at the starry sky and wrote, “What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?” (Psalm 8:4).
Amazing! We are small. We are infinitesimal. Our minds are too primitive to comprehend the majesty of God. Our hearts are too small to contain the love of God. Our lives are too short to search out the works of God. Yet! God cares for us.

Do watch a sunrise or a sunset and contemplate the wonder and the majesty of God.
DON’T FORGET TO PRAY TODAY. GOD DIDN’T FORGET TO WAKE YOU UP THIS MORNING!
My Commentary:
When we encounter the vastness of creation — the towering walls of the Grand Canyon, the endless reach of the Pacific, the ancient pyramids that have watched millennia pass — we are struck by a profound and humbling truth: we are small. Our lives, as the writer says, are but a fragile breath, a fleeting moment in the long story of the universe.
And yet, within that smallness, we sense something even greater: the overwhelming majesty of God. Like the psalmist, we are moved to wonder: “What are human beings that you are mindful of them?” Why would a God so infinite, so eternal, so magnificent, even notice us — let alone love us, care for us, and walk with us?
This is the beautiful paradox of faith: our insignificance is met by God’s infinite significance. Our limited understanding is embraced by His limitless wisdom. Our fragile lives are held tenderly in His everlasting arms.
Contemplating the wonder of creation draws us closer to the mystery of God’s love. It invites humility — but also deep gratitude. We may be small, but we are not forgotten. Every sunrise and every sunset is a fresh reminder that God remembers us, sustains us, and invites us to share in His divine life.
Indeed, we must never forget to pray, for every breath we take is itself a prayer answered — God has not forgotten to wake us up this morning.
My Prayer Reflection:
Eternal and Majestic God,
As I stand before the wonders of Your creation, I am reminded of how small I am — a brief flicker in the vastness of time and space. And yet, in Your boundless mercy, You see me. You know me. You love me.
Lord, I cannot comprehend the full depth of Your majesty, but I can feel it in the rising sun, in the starlit sky, in the waves of the ocean, and in the quiet whisper of the wind. In all these, You declare Your glory and Your love for all You have made.
Teach me, O God, to live each day in humble gratitude. Let my smallness not discourage me, but inspire me to trust all the more in Your greatness. Help me to see each moment as a precious gift, each breath as a miracle, and each sunrise as a new invitation to walk with You.
Thank You for not forgetting me. Thank You for waking me up today. Let my life — small though it may be — give glory to Your infinite love. Amen.
