Two Giants and a Worm!

Share with your friends on Facebook

Upon two towering mountains high,
Two giants stood beneath the sky.
Each day they’d bellow, scream, and shout,
Their insults echoing all about.

“You’re weak!” one giant roared in rage,
“Your mind’s as dull as a broken blade!”
The other fired back with scorn,
“You’re a fool since the day you were born!”

Their voices thundered, shook the ground,
Their bitter words, a mighty sound.
Yet down below in the valley green,
A humble worm could still be seen.

Amidst the clamor, fierce and loud,
The worm emerged, both small and proud.
It raised its head and smiled to say,
“Thank you, God, for such a beautiful day!”

The giants paused, their anger stalled,
A silence on the mountains called.
For in the worm’s contented plea,
A truth was clear for all to see.

The giants, humbled, saw the light,
Their bitter brawls were put to flight.
And from that day, in peace they’d stay,
Inspired by the worm’s simple way.

Have YOU seen and heard any giants shouting from their mountaintops lately? Do YOUR words echo the words of one of the giants? Or do YOU sound like the worm in the valley to other people?
