THE TRINITY IS LIKE THE SUN
The Trinity is like the sun in the sky,
God the Father is the sun blazing high.
Jesus is the rays that shine down bright,
Guiding us all with His holy light.
From Father and Son comes the Spirit’s heat,
Warming our souls with a love complete.
Like sun and rays bring warmth to earth,
The Trinity shows us our true worth.
The sun sends rays to the world below,
Just as God sent Jesus so we might know.
In rays and warmth, we see the sign,
Of the Father, the Son, and Spirit divine.
In this mystery of light and heat,
God’s love for us is made complete.
A unity in diversity, profound and true,
The Trinity’s love, is forever new.
So look to the sun and feel its rays,
And remember the Trinity in all your days.
For in this wonder, both great and small,
God’s eternal love embraces us all.

Please reflect on how the Trinity is like the sun: the Father creating and warming us all, the Son is like the rays coming to earth to ever be with us, and the Spirit’s light that daily guides us.
I BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY, LIKE I BELIEVE IN THE SUN – NOT BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT, BUT BY IT…..I CAN SEE EVERYTHING ELSE!

My Commentary: The Trinity—A Sun That Warms, Shines, and Guides
This insightful poem draws a vivid and accessible image of the Trinity through the metaphor of the sun. Just as the sun in the sky gives light, heat, and life to the earth, so too does the Triune God offer illumination, warmth, and divine presence to our lives.
God the Father is like the sun itself—majestic, powerful, and the source of all being. From Him flows the energy of life. He is the Creator, blazing high in the heavens, unseen in full glory, but essential to all that exists.
Jesus the Son is the sun’s rays—God reaching out to touch us in a form we can experience and understand. Just as rays travel the vast distance to warm and light our world, Jesus bridges the infinite distance between heaven and earth, becoming one of us, walking with us, and showing us the face of God.
The Holy Spirit is the heat and glow we feel within—subtle, but transforming. The Spirit does not shine in the same visible way as the rays, but the Spirit’s warmth changes the landscape of our souls. It inspires, moves, guides, and empowers us to grow in love and faith.
In nature, the sun is singular, yet it expresses itself in rays and warmth. So it is with the Trinity: one God, revealed in three Persons, each distinct yet inseparable. This unity in diversity is not just a theological concept, but an invitation into relationship—a reminder that God’s love surrounds us, sustains us, and calls us to reflect that same love into the world.
My Prayer Reflection:
O Radiant Trinity,
You are the Sun that never sets,
The Source of all life and light,
And the warmth that reaches even the coldest heart.
Father, Creator of all,
You are the burning brilliance behind all that is.
Though I cannot look upon You fully,
Your presence gives life to all that I see and know.
Jesus, Light of the World,
You are the rays that touch the earth,
Walking among us, illuminating our path,
Showing us that love wears flesh and walks beside us.
Holy Spirit, Breath of Warmth,
You are the heat I feel within,
The silent guidance, the stirring wind,
The fire that melts away fear and sparks new life.
Let me never take Your presence for granted,
As I feel the sun on my face, let me remember You.
As I see the light pour through the morning,
Let it remind me of Your endless grace.
I believe in You, O Trinity—
Not because I see You directly,
But because by Your light, I see all things clearly.
Shine in me, warm me, guide me, and send me.
Amen.
