All truth goes through three stages,
A journey through ridicule’s cages.
First, it’s laughed at, scorned with glee,
A spectacle for all to see.
In its infancy, it’s mocked,
Chained by doubt, tightly locked.
Eyes roll and voices jeer,
Casting shadows, spreading fear.
Second, it faces a violent fight,
A battle in the darkest night.
Opposition fierce and loud,
Yet truth stands tall amid the crowd.
Waves of anger crash and break,
But truth endures for its own sake.
Through the tempest, harsh and wild,
Truth remains, undenied.
Third, it dawns in morning’s light,
Accepted as the clear, bright right.
Once a whisper, now a song,
Echoing where it belongs.
Self-evident, the truth now stands,
In the hearts and in the hands
Of those who once refused to see,
Now embracing what must be.
