Dear God,

I did not sleep well last night,
but I did wake up.

My muscles are sore,
but they work.

My wallet is not full,
but my belly is.

I may not have all I want,
but I have all I need.

My life is not perfect,
but my life is GOOD.

Thank you!

This a short prayer. YOU may want to pray it at times.

My Commentary:

This short prayer is a beautiful reminder that gratitude doesn’t depend on perfection, but on perspective. Each line acknowledges life’s small struggles—poor sleep, sore muscles, limited resources—yet immediately balances them with a blessing: waking up, the gift of movement, food to eat.

It reframes what many might see as burdens into opportunities for thanksgiving. Instead of complaining about what is lacking, the prayer highlights what is present and sufficient. This shift from scarcity to sufficiency is at the heart of spiritual contentment.

Ultimately, the prayer closes with the recognition that while life may not be flawless, it is still “GOOD.” That final word carries weight—it affirms that goodness is not about having everything, but about seeing the blessings already given. It is a lesson in humility, perspective, and joy.

GOD HAS PERFECT TIMING, NEVER EARLY, NEVER LATE!!
