There is something wondrous in the taste of bread. 

It is so ordinary yet it is so good. It is very representative. It nourishes the poor and the rich. It goes well with meat or fish, with fruit or cheese. 

It may return three times a day to the table; it may even stay there all day long. Yet it never outstays its welcome. 

Jesus said, “I myself am the bread of life. No one who comes to me shall ever be hungry again. No one who believes in me shall ever be thirsty.”

These words of Jesus seem to be preposterous…..No one who comes to him will be hungry again and no one who believes in him will be thirsty. What does Jesus give YOU and me that we can’t find in our refrigerators or at the grocery store?  CLUE: After so many hours all of our stomachs get very hungry.  Do YOU realize that YOUR soul right now might be a lot hungrier than YOUR stomach? 

REMEMBER, GOD CALLED YOU TO LIVE IN PEACE, NOT IN PIECES!!
