Are You a Searcher?

Did you wake up and begin searching this morning, or have you found all you need on your smart phone or your tablet ?

Have you found all you need in your work? With your family? In your hobbies? Are you so content with the things of this world that you no longer hunger for a fresh encounter with your God? God loves Searchers. Remember the three Wise Men, first of all, they were Searchers.

The three Wise Men were Searchers who set out on a journey of faith. This is important. There are many journeys people take. Some people journey into alternative life-styles, some journey into alcohol and drugs. For some their journey is a winter vacation or a cruise.

The Wise Men had a specific goal in mind for their journey. No wonder we call them WISE. They were looking for the Messiah, so that they might worship him. They followed the star. So many people are taking destructive journeys in our world today, following so many false stars.

The statesman Konrad Adenauer put it this way, “We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon.”

Today is a day for expanding your horizons, to scan the skies, to become a Searcher. Of course, there’s a danger. The world hates “The crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. The Searchers.”

Be forewarned. Sometimes they crucify such persons. As someone has said, “Those who dance appear insane to those who cannot hear the music.” But this is where change begins — with those who are searching.

Are YOU a Searcher? Or have YOU found all YOU want or need to know on YOUR Smart Phone and in YOUR daily routine? What have YOU found on YOUR journey that pulls YOU out of bed in the morning and brings a smile to YOUR heart.

LOOKING AT GOD’S CREATION, I FIND GREAT COMFORT IN HOW VERY LONG IT CAN TAKE FOR SOME THINGS AND SOME PEOPLE TO BECOME BEAUTIFUL!

Please share today’s Message with your children and grandchildren and those who are young.
