A BABY AND A BLESSING 

In 1968 I was a temporary deacon stationed at St. James Parish in Arlington Heights, Illinois. I was scheduled to go to Jim and Mary Jo Hoadley’s home on a Friday night for a Christian Family Movement meeting. At 3:00 pm in the afternoon, I received a call that there would be no meeting, Mary Jo was in the hospital having a baby. Two days later I was at the hospital holding baby Scott.  

Fast forward 56 years. Because of my work with digital education in Haiti, I am always in need of laptop computers for students. I recently discovered that the adult Scott works for a company in Elgin, Illinois that handles pre-owned data hardware. The wonderful news is that Scott is shipping me 92 re-furbished laptops that should then arrive in Haiti in a month. In this school year, over 1,000 students in Haiti who never dreamed they would ever touch a laptop, will be hard at work on a laptop, thanks to Scott. You are a blessing, Scott.
